Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Nashra! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Agreement") govern your access to and use of the Nashra mobile application ("App", "Service") operated by The Velantro Inc. ("Company", "we", "us", "our").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Nashra, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and The Velantro Inc. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Nashra is a news aggregation and personalized feed mobile application that provides:

• News Aggregation - Curated news articles from various sources
• Personalized Feeds - News tailored to your preferences and reading history
• Multi-Language Support - Content available in English and Arabic
• Category & Source Filtering - Customizable news categories and sources
• Bookmarking - Save articles for later reading
• Push Notifications - Breaking news alerts (optional)
• Social Features - Like, comment, and share articles (where applicable)

3. Eligibility & Account Registration

3.1 Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Nashra. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian to use the Service.

We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.

3.2 Account Creation

To use certain features of Nashra, you must create an account using:

• Google Sign-In - Authentication via your Google account

By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:

• All information you provide is accurate, current, and complete
• You will maintain the accuracy of such information
• You will not impersonate any person or entity
• You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. User Accounts & Security

4.1 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your Google account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach

4.2 Account Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

4.3 Account Security

We recommend that you:

• Use a strong, unique password for your Google account
• Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your Google account
• Do not share your account credentials with others
• Log out from shared devices

5. Acceptable Use Policy

By using Nashra, you agree NOT to:

5.1 Prohibited Conduct

• Violate laws - Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of local, state, national, or international law
• Harass or abuse - Harass, threaten, defame, or intimidate other users
• Spread misinformation - Post or share false, misleading, or deceptive content
• Spam - Send unsolicited messages, advertisements, or promotional materials
• Hate speech - Post content that promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability
• Illegal content - Share content that is obscene, pornographic, or promotes illegal activities
• Infringe IP rights - Violate intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of third parties
• Impersonation - Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely claim affiliation with any organization

5.2 Technical Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, servers, or networks
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Bypass any security measures or access controls
• Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Our Intellectual Property

The Nashra app, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by The Velantro Inc. and is protected by:

• Copyright laws
• Trademark laws
• Trade secret laws
• Other intellectual property rights

This includes, but is not limited to:

• App design, layout, and user interface
• Source code and software
• Logos, trademarks, and branding ("Nashra", "The Velantro")
• Algorithms and personalization technology

6.2 News Content Attribution

News articles and content displayed in Nashra are owned by their respective publishers and sources. We aggregate and display this content under the following principles:

• We provide proper attribution to the original source
• We link to the original article
• We do not claim ownership of third-party content
• We respect copyright and intellectual property rights

6.3 User License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Download and install the Nashra app on your personal device
• Use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes

You may NOT:

• Reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of the App
• Sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the App to third parties
• Use the App for commercial purposes without our written permission

7. User-Generated Content

7.1 Content You Provide

When you use Nashra, you may create or upload content, including:

• Bookmarks and saved articles
• Comments on articles (if applicable)
• Likes and reactions
• Preferences and settings

7.2 Content Ownership

You retain ownership of any content you create or upload. However, by providing content to Nashra, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

• Use, store, and display your content to provide the Service
• Analyze your content to improve personalization and recommendations
• Share aggregated, anonymized data for analytics purposes

7.3 Content Standards

Any content you post must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy (Section 5). We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

7.4 No Monitoring Obligation

We are not obligated to monitor user-generated content, but we reserve the right to review and remove content at our discretion.

8. Third-Party Content & Links

8.1 Third-Party News Sources

Nashra aggregates news from various third-party publishers. We do not:

• Endorse or verify the accuracy of third-party content
• Control the content, accuracy, or timeliness of third-party news
• Guarantee the availability of external links

8.2 External Links

Our Service may contain links to external websites or services. We are not responsible for:

• The content, privacy policies, or practices of external sites
• Any damages or losses caused by external websites

9. Subscription & Payments (Future)

Currently, Nashra is a free service. In the future, we may introduce premium features or subscription plans.

If we introduce paid features, we will:

• Provide clear pricing information
• Obtain your consent before charging
• Offer refund policies in accordance with applicable laws
• Update these Terms to reflect payment terms

10. Account Termination & Suspension

10.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

• Using the "Delete Account" option in App Settings
• Emailing us at tech@thevelantro.com

Upon termination, your account and data will be permanently deleted within 30 days (as described in our Privacy Policy).

10.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if you:

• Violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
• Engage in fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activities
• Abuse or harass other users
• Use the Service in a manner that harms our reputation or operations

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service will cease immediately
• Your account and data will be deleted (subject to legal retention requirements)
• We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from termination

11. Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability

11.1 Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
• Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service
• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free

11.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE VELANTRO INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect damages - Including loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill
• Consequential damages - Arising from your use or inability to use the Service
• Third-party content - Any damages arising from third-party news articles or external links
• User actions - Damages caused by other users' conduct or content
• Data loss - Loss of data due to technical issues, deletion, or termination

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS (CURRENTLY $0 FOR FREE USERS).

11.3 Jurisdiction-Specific Disclaimers

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability. In such cases, the above limitations may not apply to you, and our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Velantro Inc., its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

• Your use or misuse of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
• Your violation of applicable laws or regulations
• Any content you post or share through the Service

We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you will cooperate with us in asserting any available defenses.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

13.2 Jurisdiction

You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the courts of the United Arab Emirates, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.

13.3 Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us first at tech@thevelantro.com to seek an amicable resolution.

If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, the following process applies:

1. Negotiation - We will attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith negotiations for 30 days
2. Mediation - If negotiation fails, disputes may be referred to mediation in the UAE
3. Arbitration/Litigation - If mediation fails, disputes will be resolved through arbitration or litigation in accordance with UAE law

13.4 Class Action Waiver

You agree to bring any disputes on an individual basis only, and not as part of a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
• Notify you via email or in-app notification (for material changes)
• Request your consent if required by law

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.

15. Miscellaneous

15.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and The Velantro Inc. regarding the use of the Service.

15.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

15.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.

15.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

15.5 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemics, government actions, internet failures, or technical issues.

15.6 Language

These Terms are written in English. Any translations are provided for convenience only, and the English version shall prevail in case of any discrepancies.

15.7 Survival

The following sections shall survive termination of these Terms: Intellectual Property Rights, Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law & Dispute Resolution, and Miscellaneous.
